European Application

We have just submitted an application to the European Union to work with 5 European partners to transfer the innovative teaching methodology of the Languages Bridge to vocational education.

New Clusters

Three new groups of schools in Milton Keynes, Plymouth and Devizes will be accessing the Languages Bridge following Training Days in January, March and April, bringing the total number of schools to over 130.

Dissemination of the Languages Bridge

Trevor Davies will be presenting the Languages Bridge programme at LSGs at the Bournemouth Learning Centre on the 21 January and in County Durham at the DLC, Spennymoor on 10 February. See http://www.primarylanguages.org.uk/ professional_development/local_ support_groups for details.

Refresher Days

The Swindon cluster have organised a follow-up training day for existing schools to develop their practice. The Languages Bridge programme is intended to develop teacher's pedagogy as well as provide language learning materials.
